What Will Happen To Gas When Heated In A Closed Container
What will happen to gas when heated in a closed container
Good Day....
The gas inside a container increases its kinetic energy when heated up.
Temperature can affects the volume , pressure, and the kinetic energy of the gas.
- When the container is not rigid, the volume of the container will increase when heated up.
Charles Law - states that kelvin temperature is directly proportional to the volume if amount of gas and pressure are constant. When temperature increases volume also increases.
- When the container is rigid, the pressure will increase inside the container when heated up.
Gay-Lussacs Law - states that pressure is directly proportional to kelvin temperature of gas when volume and the amount of gas are constant. When temperature increases pressure also increases.
Hope it helps...=)
